MindShafts is a surreal art project by UK artist Dan Lee.
I work with select venues to place striking artwork in their spaces at no upfront cost — with a simple QR setup that allows guests to explore and order their own if they connect with the work.
This setup gives you something visually distinctive to display in your space — without needing to buy in artwork upfront.
If guests or customers connect with a piece, they can scan the QR plaque beside it to explore the work and order their own prints.
If they do, your venue earns a commission automatically.

You get striking artwork for your walls at no upfront cost — and your venue earns 25% commission on any print sales made through your QR code.
1. Display the artwork
I’ll provide a set of free MindShafts prints for your venue (up to A3), along with a matching QR plaque.
You simply provide the frames so you can match them to your décor and display style.
2. Guests scan the QR code
Each display comes with a tasteful QR plaque.
If a guest or customer is curious about the work, they can scan it and explore the collection online.
3. Your venue earns commission
Any purchases made through your venue’s QR code are tracked automatically, and you’ll receive 25% commission on those sales.
Payouts are made monthly once your balance reaches £30.
Free surreal artwork to display in your space
A QR plaque that allows guests to explore and order their own
25% commission on all purchases made through your venue
10% second-tier commission if someone you refer later shares the work themselves
No hassle on fulfilment — I handle the printing, shipping, and customer service
The exact amount you earn depends on what your guests choose, but the setup is designed to give them a few different ways to buy — from a low-cost entry point right through to larger print upgrades and full collection offers.
That means your commission can vary from smaller impulse purchases through to much more valuable orders.
A simple first-time order might earn your venue around £1.18
A size upgrade can raise that to around £3.75–£6.25
A full collection order can bring in anywhere from £4.81 to £15.75, depending on size

In short: a single scan can lead to far more than just one small sale.
One of the more useful parts of this setup is that your commission doesn’t necessarily stop with the first sale.
If someone discovers the work through your venue, buys a print, and later goes on to share it themselves, your venue can continue earning from that too.
Someone scans your QR code and buys through your venue
You earn your normal 25% commission
If that customer later shares the work and makes sales of their own, your venue earns an additional 10% second-tier commission
It’s a simple way of making the setup more long-lasting — even after that customer has left your venue.
Commissions are paid securely through Wise, which makes it simple to send payouts directly and reliably.

If you’re unsure about anything on the payout side, feel free to ask — I’m always happy to help.
If you don’t already use Wise, it’s free to set up and only takes a few minutes.

I realise my work won’t be everyone’s cup of tea — and that’s completely fine.
These pieces are a long way from traditional landscapes or decorative filler. They’re surreal, playful, detailed, and often a little unexpected.
What they do tend to do well, though, is catch attention and spark conversation.
So if the work doesn’t feel like the right fit for your venue, there are genuinely no hard feelings. I’d much rather partner with places that naturally connect with it than try to force it into the wrong environment.
For me, this is about creating thoughtful, enjoyable collaborations — not just filling wall space.
Here’s a sample of the work that could be displayed in your venue.
You wouldn’t need to use every piece — the idea is to choose what best suits your space and atmosphere.

If this feels like a good fit for your space, the next step is simply to fill in a few details so I can prepare everything correctly on my end.
It only takes a minute or two, and from there I can arrange your prints, QR plaque, and payout setup.
If you’d prefer to ask a few questions first, just reply to my email — I read and answer every message personally.
